The celebration of Spring can come in many forms. In the UK, one of the most well-known exhibitions devoted to Spring is the Spring Fair in Birmingham - the UK’s largest marketplace for wholesale home, gift, fashion, and other everyday products. Its 2025 edition marked the 75^th anniversary of the Spring Fair, making it a very special and important event for the hundreds of exhibiting companies.

 

For this year’s fair, fourteen long-time customers trusted us with the provision of their stand, together with other services that helped to ensure their success on the exhibition floor. Among these fourteen stands, we will highlight seven of them, all of which are standout companies in the UK that are very well-known for their high-quality and unique products. The stand dimensions range from 10 x 6 x 3 m to 14 x 7 m, with each helping the brand stand out and get noticed on an extremely crowded floor.

 

TAF UK and TrussHire Combine Forces

 

The seven projects were a joint effort by TAF UK and TrussHire, formerly Trusslite, which utilised TAF truss as the main support for lighting and graphics on each stand. The TAF truss lines included light-duty PT32 ladder truss and PT34 square truss, both of which are also compatible with Prolyte truss. TAF’s medium-duty FT24 square truss was also used on various stands across the event.

 

The provision of technical advice, engineering for CAD drawings, visual renders, and full customer support - from initial enquiry to completion of the stands – were also provided to the seven brands through TrussHire along with their installation, graphics, lighting, flooring and management services.

 

These valued customers included Keel Toys, Lows of Dundee, Weaver Green, Wikholm, Zelly, ty UK, and Dreams.

 

Dreams

 

Dreams is a B2B women’s wear brand that specializes in casual everyday ladieswear. Their collections are designed with modern women in mind and are sold exclusively to independent boutiques, department stores, and garden centres across the UK.

 

The 10 x 6 x 3 m stand from TrussHire featured TAF’s FT24 truss in its construction, which was also sold to Dreams for their future use and stored with TrussHire. Clothes were hung completely around It’s perimeter to wow attendees. The truss structure supported lights, along with PVC banners with the Dreams London logo.

 

Services provided to Dreams through TrussHire included the supply of PVC graphics, the supply of lighting equipment the delivery of truss, installation and dismantling of the stand.

Lows of Dundee

 

Lows of Dundee is one of the largest distributors of industrial textiles, coated fabrics, and related accessories in the UK. The 10 x 6 x 4 m stand for Lows of Dundee utilised TAF’s PT34 square truss for the structure. Various products were hanging from the truss, as well as on poles that were supported by the truss spans. Many PVC graphics were also held in place at various points throughout the structure.

 

Services provided to Lows of Dundee through TrussHire included truss hire, the production of PVC graphics, the supply of lighting, and installation & dismantling of the structure with TAF front load lifters.

 

 

Weaver Green

 

When it comes to rugs and textiles created from recycled plastic, but having a texture like wool, Weaver Green in Devonshire stands out on the market. To highlight their products, they requested a stand that measured 10.5 x 4 x 4 m. TAF’s PT34 truss was used for the structure that supported lights, rugs and other textile products, Weaver Green signage, and various product photos in picture frames. 

 

Services provided to Weaver Green through TrussHire included the hire of TAF’s PT34 truss, along with the installation and dismantling of the structure.
 

 

Zelly

 

Zelly, based in New Mills, is the premier wholesaler in the UK for unique, high-quality scarves and accessories. Their extensive customer base includes independent retailers, as well as notable high street stores that sell Zelly products under their own label.

 

Helping to highlight the presence of Zelly and the attractive display of their products at the Spring Fair was an 11 x 5 x 3 m stand made from TAF’s PT32 truss.  The truss structure was used to support lights, the Zelly logo, product displays, decorations, and various PVC banners that extended from the floor to the top truss segments.

 

Services provided to Zelly through TrussHire included the sale of TAF PT32 truss for the stand, the production of PVC graphics and Foamex logos, and installation & dismantling of the truss structure. “The service provided by TrussHire, which includes the design, setup, and breakdown of our stand, has always been consistent and professional. Wikholm

 

Wikholm is a popular Swedish homeware brand that specializes in the import of exclusive gifts and home décor products from Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Their customers include interior stores, florists, and garden centres.

 

For added impact and showing a unique flair to their presentation at the Spring Fair, they requested a larger 12 x 6 x 4 m stand that would serve to support extravagant curtains, interesting hanging lights, and even a rug that resembled a flying carpet, all to provide a special atmosphere within their space. The structure also supported light fixtures and signs with the Wikholm form logo.

 

Services provided to Wikholm included the hire of PT34 truss, the supply of lighting, and installation & dismantling of the structure.

ty UK

 

ty UK is a manufacturer and distributor of plush toys, with a global reach. Their most notable products are Beanie Babys and Beanie Boos. They also produce licensed products from brands such as Disney and Marvel. Their stand consisted of a 14 x 7 m truss grid that sat on top of branded ty columns and supported two signs with images of their products. Many “Beanie” display stands occupied most of the space under the grid.

 

Services provided to ty UK through TrussHire included the hire of PT34 truss, along with the installation & dismantling of the truss structure using TAF front load lifters.

 

 

Keel Toys

 

The biggest stand supplied by TAF UK and TrussHire for the Spring Fair was the one for Keel Toys, which measured an impressive 20 x 8 x 4 m. Keel Toys is one of the largest designers, importers, and exporters of soft toys in the UK, with a history dating back to 1947.

 

The stand was not only massive, but also featured a 6 m truss circle with the Keel Toys logos that was braced at a 30° angle for added impact, as it hovered above attendees. The truss structure supported various PVC graphics along its lengthy spans, along with tubes that served to reinforce stability.

A Fitting Tribute to a 75 Year Tradition

 

The 75^th edition of the Spring Fair not only celebrated its rich history and valued presence on the UK market, but also highlighted the many well-known and highly appreciated brands in attendance. Among them, the seven companies listed above. Each counting this year’s exhibition as their most successful and with their best stand to date.
